Coaching Philosophy
Every athlete comes to triathlon via a unique path. They have their own stories, their own goals, and their own limits. Each of these should serve as a guide to determine how to best build a sustainable plan focused on establishing consistency, building volume, and adding intensity. These fact patterns are then built into a polarized model of training that emphasizes building a robust aerobic base while elevating thresholds and maximal outputs through highly specific working sessions. Whether your goal is to qualify and place at a World or National Championship or go from couch to 5K, working with JOCK Performance will accelerate your trajectory within the sport and help build you into a well-rounded and resilient athlete.

Success in triathlon stems from having a strong support structure and maintaining balance in all areas of life. What separates a good triathlon coach from a great one is their ability to help athletes navigate the rigors of demanding personal, work, and athletic lives. We will work together to integrate training and racing into your existing life, with an emphasis on sustainability and consistency. We will also explore training methodologies, race craft, efficiency of movement, and nutrition & fueling in order to help you meet and exceed your triathlon goals while maintaining a balanced and fulfilling life.

Kick-off call to establish race, training, and injury histories and establish preliminary goals & season plan(s)

Consistent performance monitoring & feedback

These options are available for all coached athletes and are of particular value to athletes in search of a truly concierge coaching experience and become more important the larger your goals grow. Large in this context is relative to yourself - for some it means doing your first triathlon, others define it as tackling the IRONMAN distance, or it might mean standing on your first (or 10th) podium.
Options include:
Preferred rates on DPT and Nutritionist services with Real Tri Squad team staff
Access to the Real Tri Squad’s team discounts (Zoot, Fuelin, BlueSeventy, Form, etc.)
In-person sessions available for purchase, athlete responsible for all facility fees:
Swim (pool or open water): $65 per 30min
Bike (skill development, open road): $100 per hour
Run (mechanics, drills): $65 per 30min
Single-sport or two-sport coaching (prices include standard strength programming):
Any one: $175/mo
Any two: $250/mo
